Recommended session requirement

We recommend that children attend Forest Nursery for a minimum of 3 sessions per week to build positive and lasting relationships with staff and peers. We offer full and half-day sessions tailored to your family needs, we are open 51 weeks of the year and also offer Term Time Only sessions. 


Nursery Closures

We will be closed between the following dates in 2020: 10th April, 13th April, 8th May, 25th May, 31st August


Nursery Closure dates for Term-Time Only Children 2019/2020

February 17th 2020 - February 21st 2020
April 6th 2020 - April 17th 2020
May 25th 2020 - May 29th 2020
July 21st 2020 - August 31st 2020



We require a minimum of 1 month written notice to permanently reduce your child’s normal booking. Increasing your booking is subject to availability. We do our best to accommodate requests for ad-hoc bookings in addition to your child’s normal booking. A minimum 1 week notice is required to cancel additional bookings.


Registration & Deposit

To register your child with us at Forest Nursery please complete the online enquiry form and book a visit to receive a prospectus. A £50 (non-refundable) administration fee is payable upon registration.



All 3 to 4 year olds in England are eligible for funded early education or childcare. Some 2 year olds are also eligible for 15 hours funded childcare, for example if you receive certain benefits.


 15 hours

All 3 to 4 year old children in England are eligible to receive 570 hours funded per year.

At Forest, this can be used as 15 hours per week Term Time Only (38 weeks).


Stretched across the year (51 weeks)

30 hours

Some 3 to 4 year old children in England are eligible to receive 1140 hours funded per year, if your child is eligible for the extra hours you will need to sign up online to receive a code to give to us to reserve a place. 


Eligibility – your child can usually receive the 30 hours funded childcare if you (and your partner, if you have one) are:

◦In work – Or getting parental leave, sick leave or annual leave

◦Each earning at least the National Minimum Wage or Living Wage for 16 hours per week this is £125.28 if you are over 25

This earnings limit does not apply if you are self employed and started your business less than 12 months ago.

At Forest we only offer 1140 hours stretched across the year (51 weeks).
